I'm looking for a hard copy format of service manual I saw a few on ebay but not for my year

Your best bet is to get your hands on an 08 Service Manual in PDF, 08 really covers the bikes back to 05 with a few caveats, and just print it out, or have Kinko's do it, and put it in your own binder.

Yep no need to have anything other than 08 manual for 05-08 Big Dogs. I use the 08 for my 07 and use it a lot for my 04 for torque specs and stuff. Only thing that isn't good is the clutch pages
