Too good to be true?

Ok, so I'm searching for parts to rebuild with & also considering a spare bike when I come across this. The old saying "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is." Comes to mind.
The thing is that there are 4 of these "too good" deals that I've found. There's one in Oklahoma City for $5500. Which isn't really that far. I'm thinking even if the engine is toast (the both claim to run great).I can get all the parts I need to fix my bike & part out the rest and probably still come out ahead.

Thoughts?

I did see one go for sale on eBay for $6,500 for a 2005 K9. That was an amazing deal.

Eric, I thot the first K9's were in 2006?..
I wouldn't send them any money first, and I'd use a proctoscope to inspect the title and other paperwork...
I'd sell you mine for $5,000 (after I went down and got an $8,000 bank loan on it)!!

I found several big dogs at un-real good deals on a site called oodle emailed back n forth several times .low low prices .they wanted to get payment up front and ship bikes to me all was good with them until I said no need to ship to me I will come and pick up in person got several excuses of why they could not do that.then all the for sale post got deleted in one day big scam

Could be more a "wire me the money scam" than false Big Dog.

... have also seen this type of scam on Rentals and Car sales on-line.
(or: stolen bike, reconstructed title, cracked/bent frame, bad motor or trans, etc... )

but then again it could be just a great deal
