Dry graphite lube and handcontrols

It may feel like a brilliant idea to spray some dry lube inside your throttle hand control while servicing your bike.
It is not!
At least on my grip the plastic tube inside the grip did swell and it felt like there has been sand between the bar and gip.
Took me bloody hour with fine sandpaper to smoothen it up and make hand control not to stick on bar.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1447693132.192821.jpg

SKOGDOG

One of the old ones.
I got some graphite suspended in a light oil from DOC and it works great on cables....original clutch cable at 60K miles (and climbing)......
You don't want to overdo it because it's nasty. I think graphite just keeps on breaking down and is second only to a tattoo in imbedding itself in your skin.....
