I'm a good mechanic but I tell ya what, I would never be a bike mechanic full time. It took me all day to install the sissy bar kit. But while I was at it I put a new drive belt, new rear tire and polished the rear wheel...

I read that post a few days ago so I did the double sided tape trick when I installed it...A piece of advice.... get some double-sided tape in there or you will become another statistic on loosing the back-rest!

Well... several folks have lost the back-rest from their sissy-bar, either due to the vibrations or from hanging a bag (or both) in there. If you put some double-sided sticky tape between the bracket and the bar and also Blue Loctite on the bolts you will have peace of mind about not loosing the back-rest in a hurry.
Both lol. Wife wanted one but now we are thinking of buying another Big Dog for her so it may soon just be a bag holder.
