EHC year models

I am sure the whole EHC thing has been talked to death!!! My question is was there any particular year models that seam to be bad, or are all of them bad at random? I have 2008 model with 10k on it, and no problems yet!!! Knock on wood, fingers crossed, or whatever! I just got back from the Thunderbeach rally and talked to several BD riders, and the two that said they had trouble had 2004s.

The "EHC" as most know it began in 04 and has gone through many iterations.

If you treat your Electrical system and EHC with the respect it demands you will have a long happy relationship.
If you purchased a bike where the previous owner did not give it the respect it demands then it may or may not last so long.

I bought my 03 with a bad EHC. Brake lights and start switch did not work. I wired in a Thunderheart EHC from Curtis and all was well until the voltage regulator crapped out and killed the EHC and battery, now I'm replacing it again.
