@boomer4444 has been organizing a leaf ride for many years. Since I just moved to Iowa 2 years ago, and we didn't hook up until later on in the year, I missed last year. It's a great ride and I'm attaching maps of the ride we are going to do. WE ride if it's 45 degrees or warmer, we'll stop more at bars if it's colder....to warm up with Whiskey and Tequila.....It's a great ride. We will leave Saturday AM at 10AM from DYSART, IA/Cedar Rapids, IA depending on where you live you are welcome to join us.

Ride up the Mississippi River is Saturday October 24th and 25th with an overnight in Beautiful Prairie du Chien, WI. Curvy roads and beautiful scenery.

IF, it is TOO cold, raining/snowing etc...we will have a party van ready with a DD......and we are still going to go.

It is the most beautiful ride in IOWA. @boomer4444 and I will be riding our 2005 Ridgebacks.....ALL our welcome who want to join,Big dogs and any other bikes...we are not picky.....

@boomer4444 has reserved a block of rooms in Prairie Du Chien, WI for the overnight. IF YOU REALLY WANT TO GO, MEET ALONG THE WAY and join, please reserve your room with your OWN CC! Info on how to do that can be obtained via PM to myself or Boomer.....he's been screwed before.....

@boomer4444 and I ARE GOING! SNOW, RAIN or ICE!

Attached pics of the route. We are leaving @boomer4444's house at 10AM, Saturday 24th October at around 10AM.

All you IOWA Big Dog Owners who never participate.....JOIN and have some FUN!!!

People, PLEASE warm up with hot chocolate and coffee, save the tequila and whiskey for the campfire after the run. I lost my favorite brother in law to too many bar stops on a ride. he veered off road, hit a large rock, and flipped. He struck a telephone pole and broke his neck. Killed instantly. totally needless loss. Please ride sober and safe, tired of losing family and friends. Sorry for the downer but if it saves just one of you some grief it's worth it. Stay safe!!

Sounds like a great ride and good to hear there are still others that will ride in rain and when needed, in snow. If I could of got the time off I would meet up with Raywood and the Kaptain and do the ride with you all. Post pics...

Appreciate your comments. It is amazing to me how many bars here in Iowa do NOT even have a coffee machine anymore or even hot chocolate!! WTF right? That's okay, drank a lot of OJ and pop, hot water on hands and hand dryers. We also brought hand warmers. Out of the 6 bars we stopped at, only 2 even had coffee machines and made us some....bar stops do not always mean they are alcohol related.....however-after we got there....wasn't a fun morning to get up to.... Cheers @chubs and thanks for your concern and comments....
