Thanks John ! I'll try to keep it in order, lmao. Finally got the tins painted with black base and an intercoat clear. Ran into some problems with my air setup, sprayed base and ended up getting moisture in the paint and had to sand it back down. Redid my entire air setup and now I'm good to go. Next is to scuff up the intercoat clear and do the airbrushing, then clear. Hopefully get to that within the next week. Had to stay away from the garage today, wifes birthday, had to be a good boy!!! Heres the parts painted. Getting there, but really miss riding!!!!!

been there. Moisture, dirt, bugs, runs, painting sux at times. I was final buffing a tank and it flew of the table and wrecked it. :oldbang:

What did you change? I still struggle with moisture.
Take a look at my post in the garage and tool section, put up some pictures of the new setup.Basically went from 10 feet of galvanized pipe to almost 30 feet of copper with 2 water drops and a new desiccant dryer, worked like a champ I was also getting killed with dirt, dust and hairs. I ended up grounding the parts before painting this time and it helped alot. I read that especially black has a real bad static charge and the dust is attracted like a magnet.

Looks great Butch, looking forward to seeing what you air brush on them, Oh and I did check out the other thread on your air dryer, nice job, but you need to get those drywall joints finished on your walls:yesnod::oldlaugh:

LMAO, after seeing all these other garages, I'm formulating some plans to remodel. Its embarrassing, but I'm always, painting, cutting, welding, doing something to dirty it up. I'll get right on that Ker.

Its a working garage, no need for embarrassment, I was just bustin on ya:spank::oldlaugh:
I can't wait till it gets a little cooler out to spend sometime in my upper garage straightening things up and organizing it, I put a forced hot air oil furnace in it last year and looking forward to spending time in it.:whoop:My wife and kids have their list of things they want me to build them, this was last years projects for my daughters.

Nice woodworking, Ker! My wife does alot of woodworking too, another reason my garage is always a mess, lol. She has build our dressers, my daughter's loft bed, and a bunch of cabinets around the house, she's really good. For me, I stick to motors and metal!
