Great post. A couple of years ago we went on a ride and wound up at a chili feed with the local Legion Riders. This guy across fom me mentioned he was a WWII vet and I couldn't believe it! I rode with him several times and didn't know he was in his 80's.
Even more impressive, he had his new girlfriend with him! Hope springs eternal!!

Several years back, we road down to Little Sturgis, and passed a little old lady on a Sportster. She looked like she was a hundred and five. Go granny go! After we were there a while, we saw her again, set up under a shade tree, with a sign," Blow jobs for beer". I'm not making this up.

When my wife died my dad rode a motorcycle from Atlanta, Georgia to Orlando, Florida in the middle of November to come and be with me. He was 70 + at the time. He is now in his eighties and still rides from time to time. Go Air Force. I am 59 + and I ride everyday, trying to hang like the ol Fly Boy.
What a great story and an even greater father.
There is something special about the opportunity to ride with your father. I get to do about once or twice a year. My dad is 64 now so I know they will get shorter and shorter.
I am actually going to get the opportunity to ride with him this weekend. That's another reason I keep two dogs in service so he has one to ride when he visits as my family lives in Massachusetts and I'm in Texas. He is happy as a pig in shit to ride a chopper. When I bought it my mom called and said he has been showing everyone pictures of the bike his son bought him. Haha. Then they asked when he was bringing it home and he said he was keeping it here I just have to laugh.
He has a 77 Harley Shovel that I usually ride when I visit him and he rides his Ultra

My son is 35 and just bought a new Harley Ultra, sure wish we could all three ride in Daytona during Biketoberfest. 3 generations riding in the wind. I most likely will be by myself this year, but I will ride with enough empty space in front of me and behind me , just like Missing Man Formation in the Air Force.
3 generations would be cool! I'll never make that happen unfortunately.

Those people from that time period didn't get that old by being stupid. To bad the kids today can't seem to learn that.
