I own a 2006 Big Dog K9 and love my bike but every time i tell someone that i own a Big Dog bike, i am told to get rid of it because there are no parts available for these bikes. I have always thought that bikes are like automobiles that can be modified with after market parts and any part can be replaced with other similar parts? I believe that perhaps the people that offer me this advice think that because the manufacturer went out of business, Bid Dog owners like myself are left with no options but to sell our bikes. Has anyone else encountered such negativity about these awesome bikes?

In the midst of a rebuild/ restoration of mine from a near "total"

Have found those hard to get parts from "Kaptin Amerika" Wild Steed Worx
and had a few custom made /modified by same guy
it can be done... (Big Dog motorcycle maintained and rebuilt ground up)

Many bikes have become "obsolete" over the years; but it is die hards like us that choose to keep these relics, tinker with them to keep them going and enjoy the looks we get and feeling from a unique one-off...!

... still enjoy seeing a guy kick start a "pan head" -- on any weekend, at Cook's Corner hundreds of vintage relics of all makes and models, to each his own, don't hate...

Not true, in fact new ones are being made today, here's a 2016 model K-9. Plus there are vendors out there still carrying parts.
