I run stock plug wires in all 4 0f my bikes for miles and have never had a problem. If the wires are in good shape and are the ones you're supposed to use you will never have a problem. And you won't find any more power from special "super duper" spark plug wires.
A word of caution: DON'T start swapping plug wires on fuel injection bikes.

What are the issues changing spark plug wires on an EFI K9? The Shop Manual says 8.8 mm wires. The postings recommend spiral core wires to eliminate EMI and still have low resistance 40-50 ohms. I’d like to change my stock black K9 wires to yellow, but the Owners Manual cautions not to use aftermarket wires like Taylor etc. Is there a yellow spark plug wire that works with an EFI S&S 117??
