Where can you buy the electrical connectors like under the gas tank.

I would like to find a couple of the waterproof, small square connectors under the gas tank. Wiring up my compression releases to the starter and if I had a couple of the plugs I could just plug them in and connect my wire.

Hey Jim, I was headed in the same direction your going until today I thought I'd give them a good dose of WD-40, while the rear was very smooth pushing in and out the front one had a little click about 1/16 from the bottom when you push them manually. I could feel the bump, so I squirted a little more WD-40 on it and kept working it until it was smooth and no longer there. Oh, I should have told you this first, I put a tiny slit in the rubber so I could put the straw from the WD-40 into it. Went out for a ride and started 15 times or so with no bang, now tomorrow could be a new day, but it worked today without the bang.

I did the WD-40 thing a month ago and hasn't changed anything so far. The CR on the back cylinder feels different then the front. It don't stick up as far as the front But it does push down all the way.

I used the WD-40 a little while ago also, but today it felt like the one had a burr on it and I sprayed it a couple times and worked it until it was smooth

I worked more WD-40 into mine. But I still wired the CR's to the starter anyhow. Have to finish it up tomorrow. I did check it without starting it and they work but they always work when I check them.

I always forget to take pics. but I started today when putting it back together.

The wires to the CR's come between the cylinder heads and go into the wrap under the tank. They are covered with braided steel. I have already at this point cut the wires and soldered the two green wires and two black wires together with another green wire to run to the starter and a black wire for ground. Used heat shrink tubing and then covered everything in liquid electric tape. Then I use some clear tubing and ran the wires down through the frame to under the seat.

I used a 15 amp in line fuse holder and soldered it in line, heat shrunk it and covered with the liquid tape.

I took the wrap off the wire bundle that holds the green starter wire and exposed a section of the wire to connect to. Maybe 8 inches from the end of the starter wire.

I wrapped my green wire to the exposed section and soldered.

Covered with the liquid tape then electric tape.

Put the wrap back around the wires used a hand full of cable ties on all the wires. Hooked the black wire I ran to the negative side of the battery, put the gas tank back on and fired her up. So good so far.

Maybe it has always done that but now I notice it. After the half second the engine seems to turn smoother and starts faster. Could all be my imagination.
