Recap Can someone post picture showing this gap between upper frame and gap of oil bag to swing arm (second picture shows large gap) for an 04 B/D Chopper so i can compare pics! Today I drove down to Colorado to help 04 blue skull his concerns were gaps at oil tank and inside swing arm not moving.We jacked bike up and removed shocks I found what I think were 05 shocks installed on an 04 chopper.Then we checked travel of swing arm (apox 2000 miles on bike) seemed normal thur the arc no movement from swing arm with shocks removed.NEW shocks 422 style from Curtis are on the way

Hello and thanks too 05 chop for coming down and helping me with my 04 chopper. I also am learning a lot about big dogs, sorry for the mistake of calling my chopper a k- 9. I appreciate the correction,and will do better next time. Again thanks Larry your a hell of a guy,ride on bdbrothers

@04 blue skull I'm a noob myself.. only been here a couple of months, after buying my first V-Twin (07 Chopper) .. glad one of the brothers helped get you straighten out... there is a hell of a lot of good stuff to learn here...and thankfully a hell of a lot of good guys that are willing to help us noobs ...

Hello, all that helped me with this. Thank you. The problem was I had 2005 shocks on it instead of 2004 adjustable shocks. When I switched the shocks out I adjusted the shocks and it brang my fender down nice and snug around the tire. Sweet. This particular fender has the wire for the taillight inside the fender close to the tire. Got too watch it closely. I will need a strut that has a groove in it to reroute that wire and I'll be able to lower it as much as I want. Special thanks to Larry 05 chop for coming down to colorado and helping with this problem. On the road again. Also thanks to wood butcher, I'm a neewb but appreciate the correction on the k-9 chopper mistake. I will learn
trust me, you are not the first and won't be the last to refer to a "Chopper" as a "K9". knowledge comes with time and i am sure before long you will be up to speed right with the best of them. ride safe and watch out for the cagers.
