Inspection Sticker

Out of curiosity, should you expect an inspection sticker if you buy a bike from a dealer? I noticed when I bought sportbike last year, I didn't get my inspection sticker until 6 months later.... I bought my K-9 this year, and it doesn't have an inspection sticker. Is this something that should be provided automatically by the dealer? Its not the end of the world if I got it myself, but I was just wondering....

Every bike I have purchased had a sticker. I have mine mounted on a stainless plate that the dealer provided and bolted on at my kickstand!

I think they are suppose to give you an inspection sticker that is good for 4 years. But knowing those cheap fucker they probably saved money on that and tel you to go to the state. I would call MVC and ask if the dealer is suppose to provide the sticker. They pick up the phone down there.

If you bought it from CC they dont supply a sticker they can arrange to have it brought up to the Harley dealer (Wolfman) so you can get one. I had a buddy give me mine from his repair shop. My K9 didnt come with one either.

My dealer didn't have one on it when I came to pick it up. I told them I want it inspected before I leave. I did buy the plate and I keep it in my tool roll now. Could not find a place to mount that I liked.

Bill I just got off the phone with MVC and they said the dealer has to give you an inspection sticker. If they refuse then you can go to the state to get one.

I'm in NY......Mine came with the inspection sticker - it was located on the back of the license plate bracket.

Interesting place for an inspection sticker. When I moved here from Co. I had to get an inspection done (NY) had a chrome plate mounted behind my left front foot peg for the sticker. I've got chrome lower forks and did not want an friggin sticker stuck on them.
