No turnsignal or Brake lights

I've tried to search for my issue and can't find anything.

My rear turn signal harness came loose and rubbed through the insulation on the tire. This was found because the turn signals started working intermittently. I also noticed that my brake light was also inop when this happens. Everything seemed to work fine until I ride a couple miles then only the running lights will work in the rear.
The rear wiring harness was replaced with an OEM harness at a Big Dog shop. Everything was working fine at the shop, but after 20 miles today I noticed that the problem returned.


Any Ideas ???

Yes take it back to the shop and tell them to fix it right! I doubt the harness was replaced with an OEM harness. You're bike is 12 years old made by a company that has been out of business for several years. Where did they find that part?

Or you can get a wiring diagram a test light and a service manual and trace out the circuit yourself.

I will call them and let them know, but i don't think that they didn't fix anything. They fixed what I paid for, the harness. As far as the harness, I believe they had it in their parts stock. These guys have been with Big Dog for a long time and still do parts and service. I'm not here to call their ability into question, I'm just trying to see if anyone else has ideas. I was a Cadillac tech for 15 yrs. and I know that a second set of eyes helps on electrical sometimes.

I found a rub in my harness.

20 miles later no joy with new harness.

Up to the new harness I can take a test light and the lights/brake work before the new harness.

That says... Hello, checked your work again. I have power up to your new harness... Hello?

So from the bike on back we have no problem. From the new harness on out we have a problem. Can't be the bike. Has to be the new harness, yes?

I am having a problem like this. My blinkers and everything work fine, however the blinker lights on my annunciator / dash don't work. Nuetral light and oil pressure light work. only blinker lights are out. any ideas?
