Gas Cap & Paint Saver

My friend has a 2 1/2 inch diameter paint saver on his 06 K9, there appears to be corrosion on the edges maybe 1/4 inch. Also he is leaking fuel from the gas cap area also.

My question is, can he buy a larger diameter paint saver, if not should he replace both and where can I get both for him?

While we're on the subject, one of my two gas caps is stuck but good. I found an old thread here on the subject, and while there were good fixes posted there wasn't much by way of advice for getting the damned thing off in the first place.

Short of waiting for (much) colder weather to return, anyone have ideas? Thanks! (Going to ice my shoulder now...)

I got mine off with a hammer and a punch but there is a tool plumbers use to get broken pipes out that expands as you turn it. If you see a plumbing truck stop and ask them. They could take it out in a minute with no damage.

If it's the left one, it's left hand threads.
