Patroit Defender on 07 Chopper RSD

I used to come to this site a lot more then I do now ... Anyway this might help someone decide weather this is right for you and your bike . I went ahead and purchased a cheep Patriot Defender exhaust pipe and shoe horned it on to a 07 Chopper .. I included a short vid clip so you can hear the sound ... my thoughts are it runs like a scalded "dog" throttle response has improved over the two into two pipes "Supertraps"with baffle ...I think I'm going to try a leaner jet as it now seems to run just a tad rich . Fitting them sucked and I don't like the cheep heat shields ,I'm already thinking exhaust wrap ...but it has a unique sound that "WORKS" and its not the same as the next guy! Stainless turned gold in four mins ,its not a bolt up without a custom bracket . The good thing is it sits so high that dragging the pipe will not be a issue .

not enough time 4 riding
How wide open do you have the SFI? I put a set on my Mastiff and with the valve about a quarter way open the exhaust is really quiet (86 decibels on a sound meter app on my Samsung phone) so I opened the valve to make the Big Dog louder than the Harleys.

They are going to stay in the open position, I see no need to quite it down .

Me gusta!!! :2thumbs:

Ok but why? Someone complains about noise then tough. I'm sorry but I've been riding since 1971 and I haven't let someone else dictate what my bike sounds like and I am not changing now or ever. Give people an inch and they will take a mile. I take it a little easy around my neighbors but that's it. Your bike your decision and that I support too.

These pipes are quieter at idle and low RPM then the supertraps that I took off ,have a nice deep rumble and perform well ... Big dower is they are NOT made in the USA and had I known would not have purchased !

I just like my Freedom
My buddy put these on his HD. Added the new MAP n wow, what a difference. Its almost as loud as the Dog with the MLB Twisted's. Looks and sounds great.

I've lost count how many times people have commented on how good my bike sounds. It's a really deep tone, and not really loud at cruising speed, but when you crank down on it going through the gears, they bark.

I am thinking about these pipes.... It could save me the hassle of changing pipes every time I have to go to get the sticker....

You'll also be able to take the little extinctions off your passenger pegs, that you have up side down
