2up guys...

Energy One
Hey guys... need your thoughts on this...

So the wife has ridden with me a couple of time with the BDM 2up seat, when we turn, the suction cups dont hold the seat in place centered on the fender. The seat and her literally slide 3+"'s and gives her a very uneasy feeling like shes gonna fall right off.

Will new suction cups help fix this issue? Is there a trick to prevent this? The suction cups look old, they are original, so 5-6 yrs old, but dont know if new ones will eliminate this issue. The rear fender does have the clearcoat protector on it too...

Any help/advise would be appreciative...

Honestly, I dont feel it, I would think I would but I dont.. Gotta keep momma happy...

We sell the larger cups that work very well on the rear seat.
Some don't like them showing slightly on the sides but they provide a much firmer, safer feel for the passenger.

Suction Cups

You can also pick up a thick gel pad and glue it to the bottom of the seat. That will also give the seat more grab.

I drilled 2 more holes in my 2 up seat so it has 4 suction cups on the back part. Works great. If you look at a pillion pad you can get an idea where to drill the holes!

Do you keep them (cups & fender) clean???

just saying....

Id like to think the bike is the epitome of clean, it bugs me there is grime around the engine bolts... LOL I also spent 16 hours with Adams Polish cleaning the bike too..

I wasnt sure what I was going to get in a thread titled "2 up guys"
LMAO Didnt even think about that... But now that you mentioned it.. Holy Crap...

Why not a two up seat? Forget about that pillion. I did it and never looked back - happy wife and a better looking bike was the result. Solo seat with pax pegs looks kinda stupid anyways....

Is there anyway to change shipping type? It wants $6.51 to ship 6 of these suction cups.

I have the separate 2 up seat (for coeds only:up:) and it works great for my wife. She did complain about worrying she was going over the fender under aggressive acceleration until I got the sissy bar.

Something wrong there for sure. Get some new cups from Curtis and make sure that the protection stuff you have on the fender to protect the protecting clear coat is not porous.
The previous owner said BD installed the clearcoat protector, so I would presume that its what everyone else has...

Im still thinking its the suction cups that are shot... they are 7-8 yrs old, seat shows MFG'ed in 07.. So im sure they are smoked....
