ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS ON THIS? LIKE IS WD40 OR SOME OTHER LUBRICANT THE BEST FOR THE CLUTCH CABLE AND IF NOT IS THERE A BETTER WAY TO GET THE LUBRICANT ALL THE WAY DOWN THE CABLE SHEATH?

I just did my cables on Saturday. Picked up cable lube at the HD dealer, disconnected the cables at the handle bars, held them straight up and gave them a healthy dose of lube. Nice and smooth working now...

THANKS BROTHER. THAT SOUNDS GOOD TO ME. DID YOU HAVE TO READJUST THE CLUTCH CABLE AFTER YOU HOOKED THE CABLE BACK UP? I'M THINKING NOT BUT THOUGHT I'D ASK TO BE SURE

I'm pretty sure that if you check in the technical board on top under "How-To's" there is a post by Gas Man that explains a good way of doing it.

DO NOT USE WD40 -- this is NOT a lubricant. You need to order or get Bike Aid for your cables. HD does sell a lube product which comes in a syringe looking pen (its JUNK) it will leave a film that attracts dirt. Bike Aid will not leave a film and its a great lubricant - recommended by BDM as well.

i have been using the bike aid for some time.......it works!! as stated do not use wd40 on your bike.............it attracts dirt like a magnet.....

I had used Cable Life which happened to be at the HD dealer.

Now I'm wondering how good is it?
Any thoughts?
