I truly believe the TH is the best option.

If you are handy at wiring, then just buy it from TH.

If your not and want simple, buy it plug/play from WSW, just cost 2x but may be well worth it for some.

But if you think the WP was a pain in the ass to splice all those wires together your really going to hate doing this.

The M-Unit was a pain in ass! But I think the TH is better than taking the tank off to get to some connections that may be better off left alone. The cost is another issue:flag:

Mine is an 03, but the tank off is about 5 minutes - dead serious. 1 fuel line and 4 fasteners. Done.

I don't mean this as condescending, I was intimidated by dis-assembly at first. But tank off, once you do it, is as easy as battery removal.

I start my dog, then turn off the fuel valve, then let it run till it dies from no fuel. The fuel line is empty now and when you disconnect it - nothing spills out.

Then, if your tank is like mine and it is recessed on the bottom where the 2 frame brackets sit into. Remove the 4 fasteners. You don't even have to hold the tank cause it sits there on its own - the frame brackets don't let it slide. Then a towel over the front so it doesn't ding paint when lifting up and it hits the speedo. Lift up and its off.

Go with your gut man. I would go with the guys in PA. How are they gonna help when your PCB shorts out. Just my opinion.

I am not seeing PCB's failing as a big issue.

In the event they did, there are options, including just replacing them, which IMO is a lot better then changing out all the hand controls/bars/ etc.

You can even wire them up high current and the TH will support that as well. Not sure why you would wan to.

If your are that paranoid about it, buy a slam button or learn how to jump the solenoid.

hell I'm no mechanic either ! One wire at a time > all color coated and labeled .
