neck race installation

Installed my neck races and just wanted to see if this looks like they are seated properly?

Reason I am asking is if you remember when I disassembled the triple trees I found a lock washed in the bottom of the triple tree and the stem.. I think the stem seems a little short and this is why who ever assembled the bike used the lock washer to extend the stem making it longer.

I do not plan on re installing the lock washer and may look to get longer neck stem.

Honestly not sure who assembled the bike but I have decided to work on something else and come back to the triple trees later..

Looks like it needs to seat but not sure from the pics. I use a piece of threaded rod and some heavy flat washers slightly smaller than the outer races to seat mine.

They look about right
They aren't meant to seat completely or it prevents a race removal tool from going underneath it.

Thanks Curtis there is still a bit of a gap.. Once I shift back to the triple trees I will try to get the races seated deeper..
