Well, I walked the field. There was one restored 19?? twin with a name I never heard of? Sure looked like it had the right parts, but being so rare, who knows? For sure best of show. Someone brought out an unrestored Ed Roth/George Barris kind of era bike. Had a display that showed it was on the front cover of a chopper ragazine. Had a roots blower on it, sportster engine, fiberglass rear end, and a scallop(?) kind of paint job of that era. Gave the whole bike a door wedge kind of look, but in a good way.
Then, boys will be boys and there was some scuffle of wearing colors. Huge crowd. Chopper scene is alive and well. Nice round of bikes, but I've seen a more impressive field from years past.
Found a pushrod for the trans at the swap/show. I'm now on my 5th bike build in less than 5 yrs??? Trans comes in the mail the other day. Of course it is missing things. I guess the fun part is finding the missing parts to make it come together. He gathers the look he wants. I build the thing; he rides them; then he flips them.
