DOG'S DOWN and i need only one part

Turns out after all my trouble shooting the problem is:

drum roll plz..........

i need the rubber part for the RIGHT HAND circuit board of my 05 bdm chopper.

that's it.

Turns out when i press the sequence to start it the plastic wasn't keeping
it's shape to do what needed.

man old man. Took me forever to find this.

so anyone help me out.?

That's a hard part to find these days.
Especially now that the manufacturer will only sell the pc boards as sets and not individually any longer.
Only a matter of time before the Old Skool Police arrive I'm sure.....:roll:

May have to do some more research, but I assume your 05 is basically like my 04. If you look at the PCB behind it, you will see the criss-cross patterns where each pad makes contact. These are momentary switches, so the plastic part only touches it when you apply pressure. I am going to guess you had the bars pulled apart and noticed the back of the plastic membrane looked dirty and so you cleaned it. If you did, that may be the issue. The "dirty" stuff is some kind of graphite that makes the momentary connection across the patterns on the PCB. I only know about this because I was about to clean mine when one of our electrical engineers at work caught me. Now, if you did clean that out, the research part begins. I am not sure what you can use to replace it myself. I know it would need to be conductive. Maybe some little spots of graphite impregnated grease?

Anyway, that is my $0.02 Hope it helps...

I'm positive that I saw someone on here selling those. I seem to remember it was some former BDM employees. Keep searching on here, they are here. Try calling KMW they install the same boards new on their bikes today...

Check out this thread, I bet they can help you too: http://www.bigdogbiker.com/forums/general/58788-kmw-electrical-system.html
Its possible someone here has some. One thing to keep in mind is the silicone boots aren't all interchangeable with each other. Slight changes in designs 2 or 3 times.
KMW does not use the same boards. They use HD style controls and switches.

I have both sides where i changed both controls on a recall. don't know which one is the right side and which one is the left. One has a cable coming from it. They are off an 05 Chopper DT.If you think it will work send me your address and ill send it to you.One side has three little tits that help hold it together and the buttons don't click. The other side don't have the tits and the buttons click.
