Oil leak on pushrod tubes (both cylinders)
Gents,
I have had the dog down for a good couple of weeks as I had to order some parts and fix quite a few things on the chopper. First I had to take care of the back corner rockerbox leak, ordered a new gasket kit and pulled off everything and replaced them on all cylinders (gaskets & o rings). I did a pushrod adjustment on both cylinders as well, went by the video and everything seemed to go very well. Since I had it apart, I did an oil change and upgraded to the new LED light (which is ridiculous by the way, I think it may have a nuclear yield it is so bright). I also installed a new clutch cable as my last one broke on the ramp assembly side. After I got it all together, I started it, let it run for a bit, drove it around the neighborhood a few times to brought back into the garage and checked everything and for about 20 mins of running no apparent leak. I took the bike to work this morning, some interstate riding so got up in speed, all appeared well here also, then as I got to work about 15 mins or so, I doublechecked everything again and I have oil coming down the pushrod tubes. Any ideas what would cause this?
- Should I pull the rockerbox back apart and order new O-rings for the pushrods?
- Could I have not properly adjusted the pushrods? (The engine isn't making any weird noises)
