Need some advice , change my fork oil last week bought the seals and everything from Curtis
So I did everything according the manual.
Now the problem what I have that the fork oil coming out and my forks both are with oil.
I have no idea how it is coming out.
I put the seals with the spring down wards. If anybody has some advice for me.because tomorrow I take them apart again and see what is causing the problem.:confused:

1. Grinding wheel is going to take that old seal, run a screwdriver shaft thru the seal and now let the seal spin as you grind the rubber off it: the seal will spin and slowly grind away until you can drop that seal into where the seal lays in the fork leg.

2. You just made a seal installer. This slides down on the new seal and it should home the next seal flat in that groove. Where is your driver? PVC pipe? Galvanized steel pipe over the fork tube? That or buy a fork seal driver from motion pro. Know the mm size, etc.

3. Forks begin to pit and that is when moisture is sunk back behind the chrome's pores we look in a microscope, begins to rust behind there, pushes out the chrome and that is micro sharp when the bike is not wiped off daily just about; that or has some bug to etch the chrome from the outside you walk away from that for weeks on end.

4. We now have established why a seal leaks are 2 variables. The other is dry and sitting are the cracks at the seal's lips.

5. We are going to use our lips and drag that tube across that sensitive part or if your hands can pickup the divots, we first address these with a tiny jewelers file. We dress down the divot and never scratch into the chrome. We are full fingers over the file and ever so slightly file in one direction and check for pit removal.

6. The tube has a real sharp edge at the top so we want to take a thin layer of shield over that cut. The use of a cutout sandwich bag, cling wrap, something thin so as not to cut the seal as it runs over that tube end. Remove any plastic that might the lip locked onto and this is gap for a leak [look under] the seal as well.

7. Seal? Are we using the right seal? Is this a metric fork with US seals in it? Another leak is this variable, if not a divot/dry/booty used, then I'm out of why that puppy leaks, unless you banged it around in a circle, wrinkled the seal all wobbly when it sits flat on the table.

8. Ah! Springs could be shown up top as well. How do I install a seal? With the lettering facing you!

How worn are your fork tubes?

Where is the oil leaking from? top? bottom? Lowers?
It does sound like his seals, but...

1. Contact or brake clean will swell the sealer at sanction tube's threads. Use compressed air to blow the sealer off the threads and clean the tube at the same time.

2. Did you find all that powder from the rubbing down of the brass/copper fork guide at the bottom of the fork leg? Brake clean and that plastic tube cuts that at the bottom and let it air dry to see if all of it is gone?

3. The fork tube's finish would be rubbed off, the chrome would be gone, and the brass would show under that layer of chrome. Is it that bad a fork tube? Will the tube wobble so bad, you can see an air gap at the lip of the seal? That's going to open the lip... Another variable... Don't get old: was a senior moment.

4. What about that crush washer? It's crushable so can it be reused? Yeah, that and now you are looking at a dry sanction tube and threads. You steel brushed and contact cleaned the bolt for the sanction tube and that is clean and dry of that sealer.

5. To seal the lower leg, use yamabond/hondabond kind of nondrying sealer as suggested. Use something that dries up and that is a crack about to have an oil path at the bottom of the fork.

6. If you can't find a tight US made oring, or not the correct mm oring for the top fork cap, just use plumber's tape around the oring and buildup that area only. Once it crushes, it's sealed at the top; avoid most of the lower threads when wrapping.

Well Thanks Swen for your explain the oil comes out the midle where that O ring is thats is all what I notice , the first couple days nothing and a couple day, s ago its was all the way on my top sliding tube.
I have to order other seals .
Thanks For all the info and I let you know if I see what was wrong.

Change my seals today , the leaking what I had was that my seals where not correct instald
So the letters on the seals have to be topif you install them.
Well lesson learn .But thanks for all the advise love this forum.:2thumbs:
