Pulled My Primary Cover And Found This..

Pulled my primary cover today to drain fluid and get a stripped drain plug out. I noticed some spots on the cover that looks like something was hitting it. On the edge it looks like the chain was rubbing and the 3 round spots, it looks like the bolt/bolts from the clutch gear were rubbing. I cant tell if this was an old problem or existing. I didn't see much metal in oil but then again when I pulled the cover it kinda dumped out. I checked the chain and it actually seemed more on the tight side then the loose side. What do you guys think?

Looks like the clutch nut is loose or was at some point. Adjust the chain to have about 5/8 movement when you lift it up or down. Check clutch nut, pull the clutch lever in and if the chain moves at all the nut is loose. Remove the bolts that where hitting the cover and throw out bearing and pressure plate to get at nut, if its on the kickstand the clutch disc's will prolly start to slide out.

I've also seen bad transmission main bearings wear the primary cover like that. Pull the clutch pack and check for play while you are in there. 05/06 are notorious for it.
