After fighting with my engine cutting off sometimes problem when the clutch is pulled in and coming to a stop for over 3 yrs now, Derrell at Star discovered it was my S&S Cycle Fuel Injected Computer (Serial) causing the problem. He replaced it with a newer style S&S Fuel Injected Computer(USB) he had in stock and now I don't have the problem anymore.
He called S&S Tech support to let them know that the newer computer fixed the problem, they were like great, that's all they said. Derrell asked S&S Tech Support why there was a difference between the two same type computers, they were like, I don't know, but it works, that's great. WTF kinda answer is that.
I bought the unlocked version of the S&S Fuel Injection computer 3 1/2 yrs ago from S&S. I have been on and off the phone many times with S&S Tech support about the problem since day one.
It's fixed now, but I'm out $500.00 from buying a faulty computer from S&S, Transporting to shops fuel cost, labor cost while taking it to several people to try correct, (Zack at Kendall Johnson took a stab at it, nice folks, but they couldn't fix the problem) over the years with no luck.
Star Racing troubleshooted and fixed my problem. I did have to by a new computer from them, they only charged me $100.00 for the computer, not $500.00.
