I have a 07' K-9 ..... original battery lasted about 2 years...since then have put in 6 more...about 1 every year...give or take. Going to buy my 7th tomorrow, battery checks good..12.6 volts, 13.2 when running...but sometimes won't start. Have a Odyssy PC 545 AGM battery in it now, I have used NAPA twice & DEKA twice!!

Marc is it on a tender? I have 4 plus years on my Big Boar 350... Had the stock one lasted 3 plus a Drag Specialties POS that lasted 6 months...

My first 08 K-9 and my BMC 918 both have been battery eaters -- until I replaced with a Braille. Only thing that's held up and performed well for me.

My wife has a Odyssy PC 545 AGM battery in her rusty BMW it has been there since 2001
Bike gets ridden once per month if it is lucky.
The battery for my HD Fatboy was 3 years old when i put it in the BD when the VR packed it in. I have had the Braille for 1 year now, no issues, no tender, no worries.:2thumbs:

Cranks it first time every time.
I do admit to ensuring all my conections are tight and dialetic grease applied liberly.

One thing i have found is the little plug where the VR goes into the bike to make the magic happen comes loose from time to time. Now super glued into position.:2thumbs:

Buy a Braille, use a battery tender once in a while when not riding, and ride it more often!

I am starting to think that my Voltage Regulator is not putting out enough. Mine only has about 13.2 or 13.4 volts at around 1200 rpms, maybe even 13.8 if I rev it way up, but never over 14. Tapio’s K9 put out over 14 volts at about 1200 rpm

Yeah, and an two hours later it did put 19.5. Lol. Now I have a new battery, new VR and new unit from wire plus. (110+70+250)
Seriously, the new VR is around 14. And I like new parts anyway!

I just put a new 32 amp regulator on my mastiff yesturday. It had the same issues a week ago as your bike. A new battery did not solve the problem but after reading several posts here, I tested the stator and it was fine, the regulator was the issue now I have 14.3 volts while running and I'm back on the road thanks to this website again.

I'm running the same battery for the past 4-years. Had it in my Pitbull removed it when I sold it and put it in my K9. Still cranks like there are no plugs in it. And I never use a tender. Battery I'm running is a car battery name brand TOMIOKA same mfg as the Braille. It might actually be 5-years since original purchase
