I have some scratches in the frame results of my accident , the insurance company checked it out and said it might be able to be touched up, is it okay to touch it up and would the whole frame need to be powder coated again?

How do you touch up powder coat?

The insurance guy is trying to save some money. The right way to fix it is to tear it down and re-powder coat it, but that will usually total the bike.

He did mention tearing it down but he was going to check into repairing it, I rather not tear it down and like you said it would probably total the bike .

Powdercoat places can get you some touch up paint, wont be as good as PC, but it does the job

A good painter can make it look new. I had that cracked frame which was repaired by our local welder and my painter made the area look like new. Matched the paint up perfectly to the existing powder coat...
