Hey everyone, Im looking at a couple bikes and am having a hard time deciding.

First bike is a black 06 Ridgeback, 117" s&s, 300 rear tire etc. Has 9200 miles and has a drip at primary cover after riding. Says that dealer installed big cams in it but dont know the details yet. I can get it for $8500.

Second bike is a red with tribal design 05 Pitbull, 117" s&s, 300 rear tire etc. Has 7400 miles. Everything is supposedly good on it. Has a new starter and has a few misc stuff like the spiked foot pegs, vance n hines pipes. I can get it also for $8500.

So I like the color and looks of the pitbull and that it has lower mileage but I also like the more chopper style of the ridgeback. Any goods or bads compared between the two? What sounds like a better deal? Thanks for any help!:D

I like the ridgeback, but not sure if you knew, these bikes have one cam. They're not twin cam bikes, just so you know... :D :2thumbs:

I talked to the guy with the ridgeback a little more, he says in 08 he was having problems with the baker tranny and sent it to baker and they replaced the main shaft. He also said the dealer installed .600 lift s&s cams. I didnt know they had one cam, he said cams so not sure. He also said he doesnt have the receipts. So you guys think for the same price the ridgeback is better even with the extra 1800 miles on it? Thanks again for the input.

They are both great looking bikes at a fair price. The primary leak should not be a big issue. My old spine just would not take a rigid bike though. Good luck!

The answer lies in what your style is, ride em both then figure out what you want.

GREAT CHOICE! As for the primary...should be a simple fix. Get a new gasket from Curtis / WSW for the primary cover and inspection cover....lots of DIY, drain it, clean it, put in the new seal, but just remember to torque the primary cover as stated (not too tight) and all will be good.....

CONGRATS on the BIKE!!
