I just ordered one of these from Curtis along with a bunch of other goodies! Looking forward to the install and I will post pics when its on.

Also, back in 2006 on my old 03 chopper I installed one of these. I loved it!! It was a little scary on the 03 cause I had to drill/tap the swing arm, but took my time and the install was 2ez. Lean was great. I can vouch its a nice product and looking forward to getting rid of my front kickstand (again)! Here is a pic of the one on my old bike.

Got one of these Kickstands on my 04 Pitbull about 2 months ago. Looks great and works much better than factory kickstand.

so I have a rea mounted stock one. Whats the reason for going to this? just the hidden spring? or less lean?

Mine leans FAR over now, kinda scary far.

If it wears out, it means it's starting to 'bend' forward, and starts leaning too far, or it could be the spring too, you will come out of the house one day, and your Dog will be taking a nap...on it's side.....:D

Less lean, and it's $100 cheaper than an OEM one, and built better IMO...and the lean is great!

It's further along than mine was...see how the bar/stand itself is leaning/tilted more toward the primary? That means the 'indent' that is supposed to stop it from doing that further back is almost flat, and the bottom part of your stand isn't FLAT against the pavement....and I had a spacer AND a sleeve in mine, but it doesn't really fix it right and my fear was a napping dog.....

As Kaptin said, just get one from him, you'll sleep better at night.....

so this is mine sitting at work today... think its bent?

Just placed my order.

I had got a new BDM stand, some guy here in Australia has 20 of them. $53 delivered to my door. Thought it's gotta be better than the piece of crap that is stopping my bike from falling over now.
So when it arrived i could't wait to install and try it, what a waste of $53, should have bought a bottle of Small Batch.
Anyway i have seen the error of my ways, i will as many of us do "Trust in Curtis".

Thanks for being here for us all.
