Hi to all,
I need help!!!
I've got a 2010 big dog K9
I wasn’t having any problem with the bike unit 3 week back.
The bike started to give me some problem starting it. I had to jump it with the battery tender sometimes. Since the battery was 7 years old I thought I just needed a new battery.
Put the new battery in and now it won’t turn over. Charged up the old battery and still have the same problem.
Turn the key on, press the run switch, press the start switch, motor solenoid does not engage. Starter does not turn over but the headlight, blinkers, horn etc… work fine
The bike came from the dealer with a PDM kit installed and I had no problems with it for the last 7 years.
1. I noticed that the ignition module RED LIGHT was not turning on. I tested it by jumped the red and black wires and the red light indicator turned on.
2. Tested the new battery for measures 12.8v.
3. Tested the start and run switch button with the voltmeter and it ohms out.
4. Tested the PDM relay and fuses and all of them are good.
5. I open up the starter to see if the solenoid was stuck and it looks to be ok.
6. Made sure all my connections are clean and tight.
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks
