Just had Jake in Ft. Myers Fl a wire-plus dealer put on the WP system on my 2004 chopper. Less than 200 miles the bike died. No lights no nothing. Turned the key off/on nothing. Pushed it home over a mile. Checked the ign switch, good, checked the battery, good, checked the breaker, good. Had the key on and all of a sudden the lights come on....

Started the bike and let it run for 20 minutes. All good. Turn the key off/on and nothing. Leave the key on for 10 -20 minutes and the lights will come back on and it will start. The left turn signal though flashes both the front lights...

Called Jake but he's 130 miles away and can't really help. Anyone else had this problem????

2 hrs away and can't help doesn't sound right. I would be dragging the bike back to him. Not saying it's his fault, just would let him take a look.

If you paid someone to do work for you they need to make it right, or give you your money back. U haul it back to him. But this is also why I do my own work. Wire plus would take some time but many have done.

I also had JAke install mine. I am 2 hours north. Didn't put many miles on it due to being deployed overseas and when I returned was excited to ride and the one harness's in the wires plus blew out... was soo frustrated on the side of the road ONCE again but I contacted Wires plus and they sent me out a new one at no charge.... so far so good, still not sure what caused that to go..

Do you remember which one? The big black one or the smaller silver one? Thanks.

Well, found the problem. I realized at 2:am that if it takes 10 - 20 minutes for the power to come on it must be a relay. Jake used the stock ign. switch which grounds the 12v relay for power to the bike. I bought 2 new relays and plugged one in. Fixed.

Now when I turn on my left turn signal both front turn signals come on like flashers..... More fun....

Jake did a real nice job wiring the WP real neat and professional. He said he never had a relay go out before but there's always a first time and since I bought an extra it won't happen again.

Guess I'll call WP on Monday to see what's up with the turn signals. Got the bike done just in time for the afternoon rains....

Ok, now tonight I start the bike 30 miles from home and the headlight goes on and right off.... No tail lights no head light. Wire-plus- ya solved all my problems.... Should have kept the org set up.

I'm going to rewire the whole bike Harley style.... Pissed off....

I installed the wire+on my 07 Bulldog in 2010 and just sold it to Geoffmt and so far it hasn't missed a beat. I bought a RIP kit as a spare for the 07K9. It's a good looking unit.

I wouldn't EVER out another wires plus system in my bike. They are the biggest POS systems out there. I've gone through 3 power modules in 3 years. Just replaced one again last night.

So.... This morning at 7:30 I started working trying to get at least headlight. I took apart the POS headwinds nightmare and checked the new LED bulb I just put in thinking that was the last electrical thing I did. I replaced it with my old bulb and still the same thing. Turn on the ign, light comes on, click all lights go off.

Took off the gas tank and pulled each harness and tried again. No luck. Took all the harnesses under the seat and viewed each wire for a ground. No luck.

Then took off the rear fender.... Bingo.... As a lot of you have already had this problem I was pissed I did all the other work. The tire had rubbed the wires bare on the right turn signal.

I pulled out all the wires under the fender, both turn signals and made a new harness. When I moved the rear foot pegs down for my wife I had holes in the mounts where I took them out. I was going to put 2 bullet lights in there but now I decided to use them to mount the turn signals. I reversed the mounts to get the lights as far back as I could and ran the wires from under the seat right to them. Nice and neat and now no chance of the tire rubbing the wires. I was quick to blame the wire-plus but this time it was not it's fault. Still going to re-wire the whole bike Harley style soon.

Still dirty from working on it but you get the picture....

I don't have any modules in the bike now. I pulled out the WP system and sent it back for repair. The only electrical box on the bike is the starter relay. The headlight, tail lights and brake lights are on a toggle switch hot wired to a 15 amp breaker.

I don't have turn signals but never had them before so no big deal and I also don't have a hi/low switch yet for the headlight. I also have a plunger for a starter button.

Can't wait for my new bars to get here and can get the time to wire it proper.
