Unsure on adjustment

I recently had a power loss issue where the engine would stall after 3 miles and wouldn't restart until after a cool down period. I had the ignition pick up replaced. How do you know if the pick up is properly adjusted ? The bike now runs more than 3 miles (I rode 100 miles today), but it seems low in power and every so often it will puff air back through the carb and stalls (happened twice today).

Are you sure your not vapor locking.

Did you try opening the gas cap while riding? Just to eliminate the easiest thing….

The engine seems low in horsepower after the pick up was replaced.
no i have not tried to ride with the cap loose.
Is the gas cap a common issue that just starts happening?
I sent a message to Gateway Cycles to see if they could help.

start the bike, and then adjust the cam sensor back and forth to the points where it is almost going to die, then find the centre point....
