Coil cover bolt

Hoping someone with a 2005 bulldog can chime in (i believe the 05 Mastiff is the same frame)

I lost the main bolt that goes through the top of the coil cover and attaches to the frame. What size is it? 1/2 x20 x 1/34.

Also there is a 3/8 inch gap now between the frame and coil cover. Does this space take a washer or does the bolt just tighten the cover right to the frame.
How about washers.. I read somewhere that fiberglass washers should be used. The other side has a spiked nut. I attached some pics
Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, you are correct bolt size is 1/2 - 20 x 1-3/4" there's no washer between the coil mount fitting and the frame.

The fiberglass washers are used where the cover bolts to the heads

Why do they put the fiberglass washers there anyways?
Heat dissipation, my ridgeback was missing them when I bought it and that cover got hot hot hot... Luckily I had a couple laying around from a replacement cover and popped those babies on and stopped that non-sense...:D :2thumbs:

Make sure you loosen the other three bolts and get all that play out of there. It should be good and tight or you will break that coil cover like many of us have experienced already
