Yesterday was in the mid 80's in Tucson, not a cloud in the sky.
Was out for a long ride when the engine started started making some really BAD noises. Very loud knocking sound. Could be a bearing, could be a valve, could be.....
Now the fun begins!

On the road again...........

Roller bearing went out in one of the lifters. Messed up the cam. Put in a new S&S .600 cam and new lifters with HL2T limiters. Starts easier now and runs like a champ!

Looking forward to retirement
I hear all these horror stories and then they say it's a 117 2007 or 117 2006. Knock on wood I'm running the 107 and knock on wood it's been bullet proof

What valve spring pressure is stock?

My TC 113" build was 505 lbs at 1".

It was very bad for all the kits hd sold. Ya got about 16k on it before it all came apart. Just too much pressure.

I think a small block Chevy is about 325-375.

We ended up with woods springs and it produced less wear.

Again this is a TC HD bragger made to put miles on, not a chop.

Lifters are a weak point, they wear out. The bigger the cam the faster they wear. S@S told me to change them every 20,000 miles on my 124. There cheap compared to the damage they can cause. Don't matter if its a 107 or 124, cam profiles and riding habits and oil condition dictate life of lifters and spring pressures also
