? On vent tube

Heard odd noise found vent tube loose tapping inside of tank at certain rpms.
It was all the way to the right. I was able to reach in and pull it back and wedge it under the rim where the tube is suppose to be mounted. About 1/4" to the left of the hole.
It's under a lot of tension and will stay as long as the bottom does not break.
Of course there is a little bit of restriction but not sealed.

Will this work?
I know the noise is gone but will it function properly??

Thanks on advance.

Unless you have a charcoal canister the vent tube is capped and non functional anyway.

I would only be worried about it scraping the lining off.

Ray has a thread on this. This generally requires a engine rebuild to locate the issue...
