Anyone using 2 oil coolers

I was considering welding my stash tube and tapping the bottom to make a second cooler.
My bike has run really hot during the summer. That is with 50w Royal Purple. Only had an issue twice. Both in traffic.

Will that be the same? I have never opened up my coolers but just thought there must be some kind of inner plumbing to make it work....

Actually at a dead stop they do still add area to radiate heat just like any heat sink but the impact is not as significant but it is still making a small impact.
I had a cooler on my first k-9 08 and only ever had 2 times in high heat/extreme traffic where the system got upset.
I'm considering running 2 coolers this time or moving to a better oil cooler than the Chrome tubes.
I have several mechanics that swear by this one Milwaukee Twins Universal Mini Cooler | 742-014 | J&P Cycles -- A lot cheaper but not as pretty!

If you already have one, go for it. If not, buy a cooler as I am sure the price difference is not that much and that Donna has them in stock. If you do decide to make one out of a stash tube then add an inner tube that will stop about 1" from the top, that way the oil will be cooled as it is running down the stash tube and back in to the engine. If you are unsure about how to do it, just head over to Apollo Beach and I'll drill it and mount it for ya.

Yupp, only a couple of hours. My boat engine builder is in Port St. Lucie so I know the road rather well. We are actually moving back to Apollo Beach after an attempt to fit in in GA.Damn son your just across 60 from me!

I have a Jagg on my Ultra Classic with the EVO motor pushing 98hp and in the summer it stays about 140* I also have a Manuel diverter valve I close in the winter to bypass the oil cooler. With the bypass open in the winter witch I have forgotten to close this yr on a ride I noticed my oil temp gauge was at 100*. ( I remover my ambient air temp gauge and replaced it with a oil temp gauge on my dash) On my dog I have a rubber plug thermostat for my oil tank. On long summer rides even when it's 95* out here in Louisiana I'll pop my seat and check the oil temp in the tank and it's 110*_120* but again that's in the oil reservoir and I use 1 oil cooler on the dog.
