OK so I have a online decal business and I am always looking for new designs and ideas to stay ahead of the rest. Since Big Dog is officially out of business I could do some kick ass Big Dog Decals and not have to worry about the trademark infringements here. I know a lot of you have asked about where to find some cool decals for Big Dog. I specialize in 3D Decals which are the gel infused decals that are for the lack of a better word puffy. I can literally take any photo and or lettering and make them 3D. Now these would be smaller decals due to cost. But I also do flat decals as well and can make them as big as anyone would want.

I designed and made the whole stripe and lettering kit on my Charger and did the emblems in 3D Decals. I will attach pics so you can see.

If any of you have any good ideas of something you have been looking for let me know I am currently searching for some new designs to expand the library of decals I have.

if i am not mistaken, Sheldon Coleman still holds the copyright and patent to the BDM name and logo just in case he starts it back up some day. might want to do due diligence.

Agreed, and if I remember right doesn't BDPP still carring BDM logoed appareal? Be careful in what you do!

i hate to tell you even though big dog is out of business they still own the rights to there name and logos.... i would stay away from it. just my .02

I don't think those Hong Kong folks care about US copy write infringement. lol

Just because they are out of business does not mean that the copyright or trademark is not held and still valid by someone.

and usually require extensive evidence to that effect. Ninth circuit, for example, stated that the elements of discontinuance of use and intent not to resume use must be “strictly proved”;"
I do not know that you could meet the standard above as I expect that Sheldon Coleman may still have the trademark and may have intentions (I hope) of recreating/rebuilding Big Dog.

Talk to a lawyer or contact BD Performance or Sheldon Coleman before you go to far would be my personal thought on the subject. (I am not a lawyer)

My print shop and also my website are ported thru Greece so yes I could get away with it as well cause they do not enforce the copy right laws there but still would like to do it legit.

I am going through a Trademark for my new business as we speak! So I do know all about the infringement laws on this matter. There is always a way around everything but like I stated would like to do it legit and help the brand. I have a lot of cool ideas but would be afraid of recourse. Then again they couldn't get blood out of a turnip I don't think I would be making millions off this. LOL

Just wanna make some cool stuff for my fellow Big Dog Owners.
