BTW, I did buy it from TH directly and asked them to send it to me with the right plugs for my K9. It was a simple Plug & Play. 10 minutes job.
Ker, the stock ignition is set at 32 degrees BTDC. S&S recommends 28 or 30. The adjustable ignition allows you to change this
Ahhh, I forgot about timing ofcourse that would wake it up. Damn you guys, now I'm gonna have to get me one of these:lol::whoop:

I was even explaining a timing issue with a guy at work that is restoring a Camaro last week. This getting old shit, I'm forgetting more stuff than I remember, does that even make any sense at all.:loony:

I placed the order today from Brooke at Thunderheart with the JST connectors. She asked what year my dog was and knew what I wanted. Great gal! $230.00 with the adapter cable to USB. Thanks Franco and Knuckles for the push!!

On another note my mechanic pointed it was my lucky day when he finished up my bike. He pointed an area at the end of the cam that was starting to score/scratch. He said once this happens pieces of the hardened cam come off and chew up the lower part of the motor. The picture is a little blurry.

Let me know how you did it (step by step) once you have it sorted. I hope it goes smooth for you.

I'm going to buy the adapter cable today at lunch and then hook up to bike to see what I can do. Prolly blow it up:lol:
I couldn't download the CD on my computer, Windows 7, but wife could download on hers, Windows 8. I'm thinking all I have to do is change the setting for the Tach. Prior to installing the TH, if the RPM's fell below a given, all the #'s on the Tach would flash, so if its only reading 1/2 of what it should this might be it. Now keep in mind this thought is coming from someone that doesn't know shit about computers/electronics.:loony:

Easy done and I settled on setting 3. My wife got me straightened out with the computer and tach setting. Runs great but I didn't notice much of a difference like the 585 cam change was.

I Did the ignition first and it was giddyup on setting 2 with the stock cam...
...much quicker out of the hole......next is the .585 so I will really see the difference....then the intake and Tripx go on.

He he he... I know how your feeling :D Are you doing the mods yourself? It is the best feeling after all is accomplished! I went through a few hiccups, but with this Forum/People´s help I managed to do everything at home! :whoop:

Yes Franco ...frustrated at first as I actually had to start my bike to make the link ...I later read about turning the switch on the bike to run which would have probably established the link....and Brook sent it plug an play so was a no brainer....Highly recommend doing this if you have a stock ignition.....curious to slap it in my Bulldog as it already has a .600 in it and rips with the stock ignition.........

I will have everything in except will farm out the cam as don't know how to check the measurements.....

Thanks to all for the help with the ignition.....more to come.

Do any of you have a Dyno sheet comparison between a 546 and 585 cam? The reason I ask is that I want to look closely at the HP and torque numbers before I make any changes from a stock 546 which I am totally satisfied with.

I did not dyno before cam, dual runner, jets or TH, but for shits and gits, I would like to do it now to see if the TH makes a difference between its settings. 2,3 and 4
