I like to think I can figure out about anything with the great info on this site
but
Last trip to the Smokies I started having what I thought was a battery connection problem as I would hit the start button I would loose all power. Tighten battery post and all seemed fine. Happened several times on way home. Got home decided to clean up battery connections. soldered small wire connectors that go to battery post. checked both battery cables with multimeter no resistance. reassembled hit starter button bike started right up, (once) then every time after just looses all power, cycle key power comes back. Decided to think on it a little more went in house bike is on back porch other side of sliding glass door. Headlight came on with key off WtF ?? Keyswitch bad ?? I noticed the starter wire that goes between the starter and solenoid was hot. Could oil in the starter cause this ? Installed slam button that I got from wild steed works ( must have been sent on their private jet, ordered it sun got it in South Florida Tues)
thinking I could get around bad pc board or what ever problem I am having, too much comp without activating comp releases. Any body have a problem like this before ?? Need to think some more. 2006 k9 still have ECM but running thunderheart ignition brallie batt shows 12.8 at rest drops to 10 volts when hit start button
