popping at cruising speed

Ok its driving me nuts if I hard accelerate it has shitloads of power and sounds good
I just got done rewiring the bike
put in an ultima programmable ignition
and a new s&s super g carb
I static timed and starts great lots of low end power and top end power but holding at about any speed its popping and hesitating
I ran it up in rpm for about 3 miles turned off key and pulled plug white indicates lean I am at sea level running 33 & 78 jets with v&h big radius and a dual runner intake a shop talked me into a 80 main
seems big but they are the pros rode it with the 80 seems to have helped but still there
checked
Timing, sprayed starter fluid around gaskets, tightened exhaust flange bolts (were loose)
How do yall get to the bottom rear bolt on a 03 chop couldnt get my socket to it
I am now at 33int and 80main on jets and still white on the plugs and popping any ideas something I may have missed any help would be great

Sounds like your not getting enough vacuum through your air bleed to transition from intermediate to main jet. It will stumble and pop. Change your air bleed jet start at .048" and work your way up. I'm running .050"

X2, I am also running a .050 air bleed jet. :up:

I have talked to two shops and showing an exploded view on my carb they dont have a part # for am air bleed jet reading the s&s guide It says it came with a .040 and I tried to get a .048 and a .050 but neither shop can get it for me off the info on this forum I keep trying to get one with no luck lol

Also is there something else it might be called and isnt it in the same spot as main jet just goes in 1st maybe a stupid question just trying to get this fugured out its been down awhile doing rewire and electronically all is good and feel great to be back on the road just wanting to get it right so maybe get a long ride in before cold gets in

does this install the same as a main jet or do I have to remove bowl

yeah many shops get confused when you throw the "Air Bleed" name at them ... just ask for a .048" main jet it will screw right in..... your going to have to remove the bowl
