Is 110 Octane fuel safe to run in S&S Stock 117 Motor

I am curious if 110 Octane will cause damage to the 117 S&S motor without mods . Whats the Best fuel to run in the motor that does not cause knock or run the risk of potenial engine damage due to detonation from higher level octanes. That burn slower without increased spark to ignite or burn the fuel faster:job:

Per the S&S Engine service manual
***************
FUEL
The gasoline used in your SSW+ engine should have a minimum octane rating of 91. Do Not use fuel additives and try to avoid consistent use of methanol or ethanol blended fuels.
***************
Your motor was designed to run on High Octane Pump Fuel 91-97
Running racing fuel is not a good as your motor wasn't designed for racing.

Are you having particular issues that lead you to believe you need higher octane fuel.

Avgas/Jet Fuel
Pay particular attention to the additives section, see statement above from S&S Engine Manual, and the Piston Engine section

If your having Knock/Pinging problems then you need to look at your jetting and Ignition.
I have an S&S 124 non-EPA version in my K9
The stock ignition module was causing serious pinging under hard acceleration.
I installed the Thunderheart Programmable Ignition module. Set it to "4" and all pinging went away. Eventually, after my custom pipes are installed, I am going to have a local hotshot tuner I know put it on the Dyno and tune everything for maximum performance and reliability.

I was told if you use too strong of an octane boost, it could damage the liner in the fuel tank. Not sure if high octane fuel will do the same.

The station I goto doesn't have a sticker on the pump stating it has ethanol. Am I to believe it does? I thought they had to post a notice or something stating its in the gas.

If the station you go to is a high volume/gallon user they may not state it because they do not know at what time their buying ethanol blended fuel. I believe anything over 10% blend has to have the sticker. Wikk just depend on whats cheaper when their buying.

I gave a link in an earlier post that explains it.
AV is designed for a different type of piston engine and loaded with additives which is one of the things S&S specifically states not to use.
