Wiring Issues still

Hi All,

It's been a while since I have been on this site, life happens. Anyways I was wondering if anyone knew what the Red wire in my Headlight bucket goes to. I have the White, Green and Black wires but there is also a Red wire that is cut off. I have been having issues with my blinkers, speedo and no breaks lights, I know it has to do with something in my Headlight. Five Five has side it sounds like a ground issue before and I am sure he is right, I am missing one bolt that holds the headlight to the bracket, I cut the coiled ground wire and there is a red wire that just sits inside. If I move the headlight up or down until it is tight, it seems to fix everything other than the break lights for a little while until I ride down the road. I undid the high beam wire and everything worked perfect but no head light either. Any thoughts and I know red is power but this red wire that comes from the factory harness seems like it was mounted to the actual head light bucket on the inside.

Thanks,
Bobby

Never seen a red wire in headlight harness. Have you tested the wire to see if it has power or is to ground? Your correct about having a good ground. A lot of problems are the cause of a bad ground. You also want to take your fuel tank off and check the harness under it and around the back bone.

I looked under there and didn't see a ground wire attached to anything, Five Five told me to check there and when I did there wasn't a single wire loose or connected to anything.
