New Pegs Kuryakyn Switchblades

Got my new pegs on last night and got the chance to take it out for a test ride this afternoon. The stockers were looking horrible with all the rubber falling off. So far I like them. They feel pretty good and rode for a while with the heel rest down and up and while cruising on the highway it makes a difference being able to rest your heels. One minor installation issue is the big dog adapters came with 2 new thinner washer/bushings and using those the peg fit way too loose, so I used one of the kuryakyn ones and one of the stock ones per side, but had to use a piece of sandpaper to slowly sand down the thicker stock bushing until I could just squeeze it in.

Cool. Can you adjust the angle?
Yes, there's just a little flat hex head screw behind the adapter that unscrews and pushes against the mount that will adjust how parallel they are to the road (if that makes sense) also can adjust the angle of the peg i.e. raise or lower heel rest.

So about the adapter to mount these on a big dog you need 2 pieces the pegs themselves and the big dog adapter (also made by kuryakyn) ... remove clevis piece(don't know what to call it) screw on new one and it will slide into the original clevis mount.

Those look really good. When I was at Daytona bikeweek this year there was a store on main st that had a ton of the switchblades in all different colors no less. I keep kicking myself in the ass for not buying them.

I just bought a set and the male end of the peg is too small, no matter how tight I make it (after tight comes broke) the peg still wobbles. also it appears the bolt is too thin. I bought the set for HD models, did I miss something or do I need to find the correct spacers and a thicker bolt. I cant wait to try them out. thanks for sharing.

I bought the same exact ones and installed them about a month ago. I purchased the big dog adapters at the same time. I too think they are still a little loose. But they work great and provide for additional support on a long ride.

I just ordered mine, I was going to put on floorboards but after I mocked them up they just didn't look right to me

I have had these on my chopper almost since I bought it. I prefer mid controls, but since that is not an option. These help keep my feet on the pegs and lessen the fatigue on my knees and hips.
