Thanks for the input. My clunk is more randomly spaced whereas yours occured about 3 times per revolution and close to the same spot each time. Yes, worn transmission bearings along with the drive pulley nut was loose and caused the inner splines of pulley to become worn out. Clunking noise is when pulley moves back and forth on the worn splines. The belt tension is a factor in the noise. With belt off, you will not notice it.Thanks for the input.
