" Help" best way to clean aluminum ????

I had a leak from the inner primary and I got oil everywhere , I brought it in and had it fixed and I used some degreaser that had been recommended . I sprayed it on and hosed it off right away and it really discolored the aluminum , I tried mothers aluminum polish and also never dull and I rubbed and rubbed and got very little results , does anyone know a better way to get the shine back?

You need Mothers Billet polish or similar. May need to wet sand first. Or chrome the shit and be done!!

get some electro cleaner and spray it down with that. That will clean all that crap you just pushed into the pores of the alumium. then spray it with WD-40 and let it soak in. I've been doing this with these old Harleys I've been painting and it works good.

no guarantee, but what i use is Flitz. check at marine store such as West Marine.

You need a spray on aluminum cleaner that is designed to remove discoloration and brighten the aluminum before you polish.
AlumaClear has a great cleaner for that purpose

Great I was just back at it with mothers and a cone I bought for the kind of foam cone I bought for the drill its working but its very slow , I ll look for the aluminum cleaner and yes I wishn I could get it all chromed,lol

I used a spray on cleaner and then sprayed it down with WD 40 going to let it sit over night , should I hose it off before I begin to polish or should I just start polishing it without hosing it off tomorrow?

Sheen Genie is a chemical polish that has no abrasive but chemicaly shines aluminum. Leaves it looking like chrome with very little effort.

I began to polish it this morning after letting the wd 4o soak in, I bought Mothers metal polish , not the paste but the creamy stuff and along with that foam cone I have for the drill it is coming along okay, it became pretty nice out for a change so I went riding and will do more later and will check out the products you people mentioned , Thanks

I did see that blue magic at the auto store , I will have to try it, its cheaper than Mothers,lol
