Yep.....it didn't bother me today. I may have to go to a powerpac and teardrop but I have bigger fish to fry with my Camaro that is coming anyday. We will have similar projects going on. :2thumbs: Thanks for the parts gas.

It is chrome but I haven't installed the heat shields yet. It'll depend on how bad the pipes start to blue but so far the only discoloration is the rear pipe which has turned a golden hue up near the head. BTW, heat shields are extra $$$.
Black Dawg,

When you ordered the LSR 2-1's, did you get the 1-3/4" headers? I'm under the impression that heat shields are not available for the 2" headers. I believe our S&S exhaust ports are basicly 2".

I've got the 2" header, chrome version on order. Talked to a local outfit that does ceramic coatings and was going to have the inside of the headers sprayed so they don't discolor.

I have 2" primaries with heat shields. The pipes are starting to discolor so I'll probably be installing them for good this weekend. I take it you ordered the pro challenge 124 pipe w/o muffler. They might not offer heat shields for that pipe since it's considered a race part.

Thanks for the clarification. I have the same thing you have (PN 00-1308) on order. Nice to know that we can get heat shields for the 2" header if needed.

I did not see anything on there web site indicating heat shields were available for the 2" headers. Everything seemed to indicate they were available for the 1-3/4" headers but nothing about the 2". Even the parts list did not show 2" shields.

As it stands right now I don't expect to receive the new pipes for a couple months and will just try to do a ceramic coating inside the pipes in hopes of preventing discoloration of the chrome. Plan B would be to order the 2" heat sheilds now that I know you can get them.

Code:
RB Racing is listing it for $629 in chrome (#00-1308), about $100 more for different coatings.
Does this price include the heat sheilds?
I am really considering purchasing a set for my 07 Bulldog at this time. I emailed them a while back and they told me to order the (PN 00-1308) as you have on yours.

Chrome heat shields are $150. It might not be shown on their parts list, so just tell them what you want.

Yeah, it's great to be famous. Women constantly throwing their bodies at me. lol I took the bike to the dealer (strut bolt recall) and the service manager was really excited about the pipes. He had been on their website reading all the info and was very interested in how it performs.

Oh, you definitely need to specify if you need O2 sensor bungs. These guys aren't real familar with all the differences between the custom bikes.

Yea I am aware of the o2 bungs. Here is the original email I sent to them and the reply back.

I am interested in knowing if you would build another set of pipes as in this picture on this K-9 for a 2007 Big Dog Bulldog, Pro Street model. My bike is an EFI bike and requires the O2 bungs for the S&S VFI system. I would also like the ends to be rotated as they are in this picture.
Thanks for your time and kick ass pipes.

BlackDawg,

Have you ever run the Mean Mother Exhaust system on your bike? If so, how much louder is the LSR 2-1? Also was wondering if you had any heat problems with the new exhaust over heating the paint on your side panel?

so Al.....how does that pipe sound?
Yep its loud but the combination of the 2 inch primarys and the collector make it sound like a prostocker/ this may not be the prettiest pipe but to date the best sounding I have owned so far. And as soon as I get my front end together I'll let you know about the peformance but somehow I doubt that I'll be disappointed in that department as this is what this thing was designed for.
