Leather for a Gas Flask

I bought this flask for a extra gallon of gas, it's easy to run out in Texas. I'm looking for someone who can custom make a leather holder for it, to it can hang on the top of sissy bar and buckle at the bottom. Any referrals would be greatly appreciated.

Don't laugh, Back when I was calf roping in the PRCA. One of my friends uncle is the Warden of Angola Prison here in Louisiana. I saw my friends rope can and all the leather work that was done on it by an inmate. I gave my rope can to him and got it back a few weeks later. It is fantastic. I'll take a picture of it and post it. I would talk to a seat maker.

is the flask vented? if not, it could be problematic if not dangerous. expansion from sloshing around plus in hot temps or direct sun. if it is designed for gas I would be interested in knowing where to purchase. guess because of the location of my petcock I have no reserve. thanks

Think of a gal of milk ? a gal flask is going to be pretty big and its going to weigh more then six pounds .. a bomb waiting to explode I would be pretty careful with it! Take a few pictures of it ..interesting idea and if done right it might sell ?? I think in the camping section of some stores they sell fuel bottles ...would be a better bet then a flask , :job:

I bought it from Coyote-Gear they make fuel tanks. It's not vented. Size is 14" tall 8" wide 2.5"thick made of SS. I bought 2 of the MSR fuel bottles and they work good but you have to have a bag to carry them in. I just wanted a nice slim leather holder so it would hang right on the back rest. Figured I would have a bio-hazard symbol cut into leather or painted on flask. I agree it's probably not the safest or smartest thing to do but then riding is dangerous in it's self. I might try a MSR top on it for pressure relief or have one made with a spring loaded disk.
