I am working on my friends Mastiff, base gaskets, clutch work, etc... he has not ran it since last spring, i installed a new battery and turned the key on and nothing, dead. He did say he attempted to jump start it with a 200amp booster charger. Is there a way to check the computer on this bike? I see a usb jack coming off of it. Also read there are alot of issues with the electronics on these bikes. Any help will be appreciated! Jason

1) Check battery voltage (should be high 12.5 VDC at least)
2) If volts are good, then disconnect the terminals for a few minutes. Make sure terminals and connections are clean. Make sure you have all connections connected, several members have accidently let a connector fall down behind the side cover and missed connecting them.
3) If the above are all good, check the ignition switch, they've been known to go bad, giggle the key a bit if its loose see if that changes anything, you may need to pull the coil cover and check the connections for being loose.

Brew, thanks the battery is good full voltage, 12.8 also i have all the wires connected to battery 3 on + side 3 on - side, i did take the switch out last night and ohm it out and seams to be fine. Can i just jump the pins out on the switch connection? I did try it and nothing! At a lost. Can it be the computer?

The switch should be hot on the orange wire and the blk should ground it out. (I just had this problem with an install I did.) Just something to check, Make sure the orange is hot, run a ground to the frame and touch it to the orange. Grounding it out is what these switches are suppose to do. . Not sure if you are aware of this.

One more quick question, if the ehc goes or non of the lights turn on is there a good chance it is dead, shot?

May want to check if the EHC is getting power and ground. If you disconnect the harness from the EHC there should be 12 VDC at pin A-3 and a ground to pin A-4 of the harness. FYI... Both of these are large pins and they're right next to each other.

Do not know it your bike has one-but my 07 has a little (I believe) grey box near the battery with a button. It is a circuit breaker. Some of these other guys will know if yours has one of these or not.

The fuse is only there to protect the battery from a run away VR. The bike should start if the battery is good regardless whether the fuse is blown or not.

I should have called it a circuit breaker instead of a fuse but the point is the same... whether it's blown or not the bike should start if the battery is good.

Ok i have voltage going to the ehc, and a good ground, still no power coming out of the ehc to anything. I am going with a bad ehc and was looking at the WP kit. How long should this take to do? I have wired up locomotives and fire trucks, so i am proficent in wiring.

it's not necessarily how long it takes to wire, it's how long it takes to get one from the manufacturer. that goes for the PDM also. could be upwards of 6-8 weeks.

PDm? Power dist module? Is that the other box under the seat by the ehc? Is that inculded in the WP kit for $600? Looking at the schematic everything gets power from the ehc and if dead nothing will light up? I do not want to spend extra money i do not have to for my friend.

I just got my wp kit fri, going to install this week, i think i will have to wire up the air ride seprately? It was a factory installed kit that use the left hand control switches to operate. Has any one done this before, i have the schematic and does not look to difficult but maybe someone has a short cut or trick?
