Clutch issues

I Got a 2008 Ridgeback with about 8000 miles on it. I was having trouble shifting and finding nutral so i adjusted my clutch acoording to the form. You know the one where you adjust the rod the pull it out about 1/4 of a turn. Well it would work for a few days then i would have to re adjust so i thought it was my clutch cable getting ready to snap. I installed a new clutch cable and adjusted the clutch one more time. I drove about 50 miles or so and lost all clutch (lever was touching the grip). I readjusted thinking mabe i didn t tighten the lock nut on the clutch adjustment rod. So went out for a ride everthing running smooth till agen lost my clutch (lever touching grip) again. Made sure the lock nut on the clutch cable was tight. WHAT THE HELL. Called BDM for some tech support which didnt even know they had and told me to turn the rod 2 full turns. I dont think this is the issue. Once adjusted shifts smooth but only for so many miles.:confused:

Ok so i took of the primary cover and, oh boy do i got problems. It looks like the clutch basket has backed its self out and was hitting the primary cover. Left 3 groves on the cover. How do i fix this.

That's because the clutch hub nut loosened up and it let the clutch assembly move out.

Someone will pitch in, the clutch hub nut seems to be a common problem, do a search, i think there is a how to on this

groves on the inside of the cover will not hurt anything. Tighten up your clutch hub nut with locktite on it and get it back on the road.
